Economic Development

Program description:  This presentation will offer a look at the work through the CEP office, learn of various economic development projects in Champaign County with the local school systems, government and the private sector, the  
resources available through local, regional and state agencies that assist the private sector in retention and expansion activities, and end with questions and answers

Background:  The Champaign Economic Partnership is the Community Improvement Corporation of Champaign County.  The CEP became the economic development agency for Champaign County and the City of Urbana by legislation in July 2015.  The agency was established through a financial MOU between both government agencies as well as private start up funding from Pioneer Rural Electric and DP&L.  

The mission of the CEP:  To stimulate economic growth throughout Champaign County, Ohio by strengthening the county’s competitive position and facilitating investments that build capacity with existing businesses, create jobs, generate economic opportunity and improve quality of life.
