Mechanicsburg Public Library recently purchased thirteen memory kits thanks to a generous grant from the Champaign County Memorial Foundation. These kits are able to be checked out and used for reminiscence therapy by people with dementia or Alzheimer’s. The themed kits include a DVD and photo activity cards.

The Adult Summer Reading Program are Tuesdays from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM and Thursdays from 11 AM - Noon! The Youth Summer Reading Program for ages 5-10 are held on Tuesdays from 11-11:45 AM, ages 11-18 are on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 2-3 PM for June and 2nd and 4th Mondays from 2-3 PM for July! All programs are free of charge!

Training topics include Essential Computer Skills, Essential Software Skills, and Using Technology in Daily Life. Make an account and take an assessment to see which digital skills you can improve. Call the library at 937-834-2004 to register for a proctored assessment and earn a certificate you can show potential employers.

Mechanicsburg Public Library is happy to announce that select Mechanicsburg High School yearbooks have been digitized and are now available anywhere through a website and at the library on DVDs and USB drives. The Mechanicsburg Public Library will be offering FREE HOMEWORK HELP for all ages! After school tutoring will be in person or virtual. We offer: homework help, reading practice, flash cards review, help with using library resources, assistance with virtual learning, free WiFi, and public computers.

Mechanicsburg Public Library is pleased to announce our new Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot lending program which will help make information more accessible to community members. The Mobile Hotspot lending collection provides patrons greater access to the Internet away from the library. To request a Hotspot, please call or stop by the library.

Mechanicsburg Public Library now has a new service available on the SEO Libraries app. The Curbside Click & Collect service is a safe and convenient way for patrons to pick up “on-hold” items. Patrons can wait in their vehicle while a member of the staff brings the items out to them – no phone call necessary!

In an effort to continue community support during the pandemic, Mechanicsburg Public Library is excited to provide free COVID-19 at-home tests through curbside pickup. To request a test, please call the library at 937-834-2004 during open hours of Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
